Storm and nCrow merge for Tournament

Several players from Storm have joined nCrow to allow them both to compete more strongly in the tournament. A leaked IGM to the Telegraph said the following:
'hello everyone,
our performance in the tourney was very poor considering our performance in last time, this was due to inactivity and i hope to change this soon and be ready for next tourney.
Many of you have already got mail about our move to ncrow for tourney and some of you may have already reiceved the invites.
so everyone who got the invites can move asap. i hope none of your armies are occupying any sq.if so you must recall before moving.armies in motion doesnt matter.
The main idea behind the move is we have already secured win on our home sq such as windlost, usror, northmarch.
there is no use in fighting for it if we are not going for top3. so for players who wanted to continue and have fun i have made this arrangement. since ncrow had limitted number of slots we had to leave some inactive people behind.
once tourney is over we will return and get storm back to life.
for people who have not got invites or mails im working on it.(only active ones).but if anyone wants to move and be active in tourney pls mail me so you will be given more perference.
In the mean time morg will be promoted to leadership position.'

So far there are ten players from Storm in nCrow:
Bey (moved on the 11th)
Aonghas (moved on the 18th)
DeathDealer89-II (moved on the 18th)
Domhnall (moved on the 18th)
Dragon3 (moved on the 18th)
Ericp (moved on the 18th)
nragara (moved on the 18th)
madmano (moved on the 19th)
Kalculas (moved on the 19th)
DukePaul (moved on the 22nd)

They have all been given the rank of 'Chough' with the exception of Bey who plans to stay on with nCrow after the tournament. The new players on nCrow's roster have added over 2.7 million population and boosted nCrow to top of the leader board when ranked by membership.

The Storm players seem to have had an effect on nCrow's performance already; they have started to gain on third place SkB.

SkB are performing well having closed the gap between them and VTX to just 41 hours at the time of writing. Whether this will be enough to fend off the combination of nCrow and Storm has yet to be seen.

  1. You forgot the part how Tcol, Storm, Æsir all have given nCrow there sqs and using HOG,Absa,Calcr attack SkB sqs to try to kick them off.

    1. If you send me more info in-game, I am happy to use you as an anonymous source.

    2. proof that Tcol, Storm, Æsir give there sqs to nCrow is easily check just by looking at who is currently holding sq.

    3. you can also see that the squares are practically uncontested by tcol storm and aesir

  2. shame, ncrow, shame

  3. May be people should look at number of casualties on those squares before pointing fingers

  4. I can't believe the audacity of these crows. In order to try and convince everyone they are playing fair, these puppet alliances are sending planned attacks designed to inflict only manageable damage. It's a complete smoke screen!

  5. To be fair, not all Crow alliances do give up their squares when asked or play unfairly. eCrow still lead Laoshin despite being attacked 50+ times by nCrow and Kul Tar when attacked with force by VTX. Same with mCrow holding Norweld/Newlands and HUGcr coming from behind to dominate the Wastes. These alliances refused to roll over.

    2. "because we do not do such things."

that would have been me. we were not asked, nor was any suggestion made that we do so, as either would have been futile.

  6. according to that mail all storm active members moved to ncrow so thats not a big issue if they carry there sqs along with them regarding there move has no other alliance got new members during or at start or tourney.
regarding tcol and aesir . its general in illy that when an alliance wins a sq and is not going for a global position they withdraw there troops to reduce useless casualities it has been practiced in past also. even then just check details of taomist and keshalia to get the records clear.
and if some one is hitting skb is it ncrows fault ?
seriously is there any prove telling that ncrow has any deal with Hog Absa or Calcr .specially while they r fighting each other on certain sqs (like turalia) .

before people start cursing me . i m not in storm nor in ncrow and have nothing to do with them . and this is only my analysis and it can be wrong

  8. As much as the nCrow/Storm merge annoyed me, I don't see what all the hate is about here. I'm pretty sure all the alliances at least made an attempt to recruit when this tourny started. Are we suppose to believe that any of the other alliances would have turned down the offer if 10 large players said they wanted to join and fight for their alliance? Why would they?

And it's also annoying to see some of these tiles go virtually uncontested, but look at it logically: as you scout for a target tile with your limited number of troops, are you going to try to take the tile in the middle of a large alliances cluster, or will you attack a less defended tile in an area with less competition? Our alliance attacked a vCrow tile for a while, but switched gears when it became apparent our forces weren't enough to win out the tile without having to devote more troops there than we wanted to. Scout reports of eCrow, nCrow, GATE, and a couple others left the same options - use all our troops to possibly clear and take a single tile for a short period, or split our forces to other less defended locations and potentially get more hours from it. Would these mentioned alliances not be doing the same? It's a strategy game, and attacking a tile belonging to an alliance you know to be strong (or stronger than you) instead of a tile that appears weaker/vulnerable is not generally a smart tactic.

Instead of whining about how unfair this is, get stronger and more prepared for the next tournament. If you hate the crows so much, band together to take them down. If you had enough troops to wipe them out, you wouldnt be crying about the tactics they use. According to the tournament rankings page, any number of the 4th - 20th ranked alliances could have banded together and been contenders for 1st place.

    Discriminating dwarfs now, are we?

    :D

Even less serious: "give away a square"? Please tell me how that's done, considering *everyone* can attack wherever they want?
