Sterling Targeted by Loki Players

Over the past few weeks, Loki have been attacking Sterling and those who assist him, they have sieged Badmuts, Nordic1 and Elmo though the siege on Nordic1 was broken. Earlier this week, Sterling was kicked from EE and since then, after a brief stint in an alliance of his own making, he has joined Storm. His current plan of action to deal with the assualt is unknown.

EE and some of the members of Loki had been at war previously when SIN declared war on EE after comments Sterling made in GC were seen as trolling. However, although peace was declared apparently those in Loki have persisted in harassing Sterling by attacking sieges. (while he was in EE)
The conflict reportedly flared up after AC logs from EE showing Sterling to be insulting Stukahh were leaked to Loki.
.

Stukahh had the following to say in an interview with the Telegraph:

"Why did you go after Sterling again after the war with EE ended?

I will keep my motives to myself.  Sterling knows why
Which EE players have you been targeting aside from Sterling?
No other EE will be targeted now the Sterling is out of EE
Was Sterling leaving EE part of a deal with EE to end aggression?
Since I am no longer in SIN I am not bound to the SIN / EE terms
How many cities of his have you razed?
So far, 2
Do you intend to noob ring him?
Absolutely not
What is the point in Loki never declaring war if you guys are happy to fight what was essentially a war but without the declaration?
Loki has nothing to do with  individual conflicts.  The conflict with Sterling does not involve Loki at all.  I just happen to be in Loki.  I am reponsible for my own actions.
There is a difference between a single player attacking someone and an alliance working together to take someone out. What proportion of loki players would need to be used against a player before you considered it war?
atm there are only a handful of players in Loki assisting me.  Sterling has been assisted by a handful of EE members."

At the end of the interview, Stukahh went on to say that he still has friends in EE and that they are on good terms.

Whilst Stukahh claims that he is not looking to noob ring Sterling in this interview, there are blockades and encampments outside of 3 of his 6 remaining towns.

Sterling has sent the Telegraph screenshots of hostile actions against him. These indicate Stukahh, Orcses, Snagglepuss, Goldy1, Gragnog and Sylvester have all been active in the offensive against him. It is possible that more players are involved as the Telegraph have not received any reports from EE.

Thunderdome- A new way of Training

The Phalanx[300] has recently announced  the Thunderdome, a military training area in Vindorel. In it, players are first trained in PvP for around three months and then engage in a last man standing free for all. Each cycle begins on a solstice and the ends on an equinox.
Ten Kulch had the following to say on the Thunderdome:
'Thunderdome solves two major problems in Illyriad. First, the game currently lacks a top notch military training alliance. Our new single city format is an evolution to older traditional training alliance models. Second, Illyriad desperately needs some kind of real PvP outlet that is more complex than tournaments, but less destructive than all-out warfare. People want to explore PvP without the lethality. The equinox and solstice battles should allow players to enjoy a robust PvP experience without it taking six months and consuming billions in gold.'

Phalanx are looking into creating an API scoreboard to help keep track of players' defeats and victories within the Thunderdome.

The coordinates for the Thunderdome are as follows:
x: 604 to 654
y: -2445 to -2495

The Invisible Land Claim

Well known Land claiming alliance 'Roman Empire' appears to have an unlisted addition to their land claim, their original annouced expansion into coanhara in early April stated the following:

As to the aforementioned extension of our claim, effective immediately, Rome lays claim to the Southern portion of the desert of Coanhara which borders Westmarch. This claim encompasses all "desert" tiles in the area from -690x to -500x, and under coordinate -2040y. The Southernmost border will vary based on the natural border as desert tiles give way to more fertile land in Southern Coanhara. We also hereby complete our claim on Westmarch, claiming the easternmost section in addition to our earlier claims. Those whose cities already reside in these newly claimed areas are hereby granted a special exemption. These cities are also under Roman protection as per the new policy announced above. This is but the first of many planned benefits to be offered by Rome. As we continue to grow and prosper we will pass that property along to who reside within our land claim.

However, after the retirement of jtk310, it appears Patience King did not agree, as he continues to declare the entire desert as part of the RE land claim, on september 19, a player disput
ing this forced him to rewrite his land claim, it now states the following:

As to the aforementioned extension of our claim, effective immediately, Rome lays claim to the Southern and northern portion of the desert of Coanhara which borders Westmarch. This claim encompasses all "desert" tiles in the area from -690x to -500x, and under coordinate -2040y -579 2011 , -638 -1964 , -549 -1879 , -514 -1883 , -497 -1962 .

However RE continues to enforce thier claim, even over 20 sqaures away from it, when asked for his reason for doing so, alliance leader Patience King qouted the following section:

This claim encompasses all "desert" tiles

Any attempt to point out the rest of the listed claim has the person simply declared a 'troll' and summarily removed.

On an unrelated note, The Guilds former leadership is still waiting on its 119 million gold payment from patience king, for goods traded.
